Description
A hearty, comforting Crockpot Hamburger Potato Casserole—layers of seasoned beef, tender potatoes, and creamy soup cooked to perfection with minimal effort.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
2 lbs potatoes, peeled and sliced thin
1 (10.75 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
1 (10.75 oz) can cream of celery soup
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
1. Brown ground beef and onion in a skillet; drain excess fat.
2. In a bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, cream of celery soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
3. Spray the crockpot with cooking spray. Layer half the potatoes in the bottom.
4. Spread all the ground-beef mixture over the potatoes.
5. Add the remaining potato slices on top.
6. Pour the soup mixture evenly over everything.
7. Cover and cook on LOW 6–8 hours or HIGH 3–4 hours, until potatoes are tender.
8. During the last 30 minutes, sprinkle cheddar cheese on top and cook until melted and bubbly.
9. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
For a richer flavor, add a drained can of diced tomatoes to the beef mixture.
This casserole is a great make-ahead meal for busy nights.
Leftovers keep in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
