Ingredients
2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs 1 (10.75 oz) can cream of chicken soup 1 packet (0.87 oz) dry gravy mix (chicken or au jus) 1/2 cup water or chicken broth 1 teaspoon dried thyme 1/2 teaspoon black pepper Hot cooked egg noodles, mashed potatoes, or rice, for serving
Instructions
1. Place chicken breasts or thighs at the bottom of a 6-quart or larger slow cooker. 2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, dry gravy mix, water or chicken broth, dried thyme, and black pepper until well combined. 3. Pour the gravy mixture evenly over the chicken in the slow cooker. 4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and cooked through. 5. Remove chicken from the slow cooker and shred or cut into pieces. Return chicken to the gravy and stir to combine. 6. Serve hot over egg noodles, mashed potatoes, or rice.
Notes
For an even richer gravy, you can add 1/4 cup of heavy cream during the last 30 minutes of cooking. This Easy Crockpot Chicken and Gravy is excellent for meal prepping too! Leftovers store well in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
