Description
A hearty and traditional Classic Full English Breakfast, perfect for starting your day right. This recipe includes crispy bacon, savory sausages, fried eggs, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, baked beans, and toast.
Ingredients
6 rashers streaky bacon
6 Cumberland sausages
4 large eggs
2 medium tomatoes, halved
150g button mushrooms, sliced
1 can (400g) baked beans
4 slices bread, for toast
Butter, for toast
Salt and black pepper to taste
Olive oil, for frying
Instructions
1. Heat a large frying pan over medium heat. Add a little olive oil if needed, then fry the bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
2. In the same pan, cook the sausages, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
3. Add the halved tomatoes, cut-side down, and cook until slightly softened and charred. Remove and set aside.
4. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until tender and browned. Remove and set aside.
5. Meanwhile, warm the baked beans in a small saucepan over low heat.
6. Just before serving, fry the eggs to your liking (sunny-side up, over-easy, etc.) in the same pan.
7. Toast the bread and butter it.
8. Assemble on plates: bacon, sausages, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, baked beans, and toast. Season with salt and pepper and serve immediately.
Notes
For an authentic Full English, consider adding black pudding and hash browns.
Adjust cooking times to your preferred doneness, especially for eggs and bacon.
Serve with HP sauce or ketchup. Best enjoyed fresh!
