Ingredients
12–15 frozen gyoza dumplings 6 cups chicken or vegetable broth 1 cup sliced shiitake mushrooms 1/2 cup sliced carrots 1/2 cup chopped bok choy 2 green onions, sliced 1 tbsp soy sauce 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated Dash of sesame oil Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. In a large pot, bring the broth to a simmer over medium heat. 2. Add the sliced shiitake mushrooms and carrots. Cook for 5 minutes until slightly tender. 3. Gently add the frozen gyoza dumplings to the simmering broth. Cook according to package directions, usually 5-7 minutes, until they float and are cooked through. 4. Stir in the chopped bok choy, soy sauce, and grated ginger. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the bok choy is vibrant green. 5. Remove from heat and stir in the sesame oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste. 6. Ladle the Classic Gyoza Soup into bowls and garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
Notes
For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to your Classic Gyoza Soup. You can use homemade or store-bought gyoza. Feel free to add other vegetables like corn or peas.
