Description

A spooky, crowd-pleasing Halloween Charcuterie Board loaded with cheeses, cured meats, crackers, fruit, veggies, dips, and playful garnishes like olive “eyes,” mummy brie, and a spider-web dip. Perfect for parties and trick-or-treat gatherings.

Ingredients

Cheeses

• 1 wheel brie (for mummy or spider-web design)

• 1 small round goat cheese (roll in crushed cheese puffs for “pumpkin”)

• 8 oz cheddar, cubed

• 6 oz pepper jack or provolone (cut 1 “ghost” slice; olive eyes)

Cured Meats

• 8–10 oz salami (for roses and ribbons)

• 6 oz prosciutto or capocollo

Crackers & Crunch

• Assorted crackers (round, seeded, charcoal)

• Pretzel sticks or rods

• Roasted nuts

Fruit & Veg

• 2 cups grapes (red & green)

• 4 clementines or mandarins, halved

• 2 green apples (optional “monster mouths,” seeds or almond slivers for teeth)

Dips & Extras

• 1 cup guacamole (gummy worms optional)

• 1 cup beet or classic hummus

• 1/4 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt (for web lines)

• Candy corn, chocolate cookies, or seasonal sweets

Garnishes (optional, inedible)

• Plastic spiders, mini tombstones, skeleton picks, webbing

Instructions

1. Prep cheeses: For spider-web brie, pipe thin sour-cream rings and drag lines outward with a toothpick. For “pumpkin” goat cheese, roll a small log in orange crumbs and add pretzel stem; for a ghost slice, add olive eyes.

2. Make salami roses: Fold salami over the rim of a small glass in overlapping layers, then invert onto board. Keep remaining meats in ribbons.

3. Set the base: Place the hero cheeses and dips first (brie, goat cheese, guacamole, hummus). Add small bowls for nuts or candies.

4. Build the landscape: Fan crackers and pretzels around cheeses; tuck in meat ribbons and roses. Add grape clusters and clementine halves.

5. Add spooky details: Dot olive “eyes” on cheeses, press candy into cubes to form faces, nestle gummy worms in guacamole, and scatter (inedible) spiders.

6. Finish & serve: Fill gaps with nuts, cookies, and extra fruit. Serve immediately with small plates and spreaders.

Notes

Board scales easily: plan ~3–4 oz cheese + 2–3 oz meats per person for a grazing dinner, or half for appetizers.

Gluten-free: offer GF crackers; Nut-free: omit nuts. Vegetarian: skip meats and add more veggies.

Web lines: sour cream, yogurt, or softened cream cheese all work for piping.
