Ingredients
6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
10 oz miniature marshmallows
3 tablespoons butter
Red food coloring (gel recommended)
Green or blue food coloring (optional, for veins)
Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Candy melts or icing for details (optional)
Instructions
1. Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat.
2. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth; remove from heat.
3. Stir in red food coloring to reach a brain-like pinkish-red.
4. Add Rice Krispies and mix until evenly coated.
5. Lightly butter hands (or use nonstick spray); shape portions into brain-like mounds.
6. Use a butter knife or toothpick to indent lines and ridges for “brain folds.”
7. (Optional) Mix a tiny bit of green/blue coloring with water or clear extract; paint thin “veins.”
8. Set on parchment to cool and firm completely.
9. Dust lightly with powdered sugar before serving; store airtight at room temperature.
Notes
Extra gory option: drizzle raspberry or strawberry jam to simulate blood.
