Description
A quick and easy protein French toast recipe made with egg whites and protein powder. High in protein, low in effort, and full of flavor.
Ingredients
2 slices whole-grain or low-carb bread
1/2 cup liquid egg whites
1 scoop vanilla or cinnamon protein powder
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp milk or almond milk
Optional: Greek yogurt, berries, or nut butter
Instructions
1. In a bowl, whisk egg whites, protein powder, cinnamon, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
2. Dip each bread slice into the mixture, coating both sides well.
3. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Spray lightly with oil.
4. Cook each slice for 2-3 minutes per side until golden.
5. Serve warm with toppings of your choice.
Notes
Use different protein powder flavors to change things up. Make ahead and freeze slices for busy mornings.
