Description
A delightful and easy-to-make Classic Webbed Chocolate Bark perfect for holidays or a quick sweet treat. The webbed effect adds a touch of gourmet elegance.
Ingredients
12 oz good quality dark chocolate (60–70% cocoa) chopped
4 oz good quality white chocolate chopped
1 tsp vegetable oil optional for thinning white chocolate
Pinch of sea salt flakes optional
Instructions
1. Line a baking sheet with parchment or a silicone mat.
2. Melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler or microwave in 30-second bursts stirring until smooth.
3. Pour the dark chocolate onto the sheet and spread into a thin rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
4. Melt the white chocolate the same way. If too thick add a few drops of vegetable oil to loosen.
5. Drizzle lines of white chocolate over the dark chocolate.
6. Drag a skewer or toothpick perpendicularly through the white lines alternating directions to create a webbed pattern.
7. Optionally sprinkle sea salt flakes.
8. Refrigerate at least 30 minutes until fully set then break into pieces.
9. Store in an airtight container at room temperature or refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.
Notes
For a festive twist sprinkle crushed peppermint or chopped nuts before chilling.
Make sure the dark chocolate is still slightly warm when adding the white chocolate for cleaner webbing.
Great as an edible gift.
