1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
1 large yellow onion, finely chopped
2 celery stalks, finely chopped
1 tsp dried sage
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
1 large egg, lightly beaten (optional, for extra binding)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread bread cubes on a baking sheet; bake 10–15 minutes until lightly toasted and dried. Set aside.

3. Stir in sage, thyme, black pepper, and salt; cook 1 minute until fragrant.
4. Add toasted bread cubes to the skillet. Pour in broth and the beaten egg (if using); toss gently until all cubes are moistened.
5. Transfer mixture to a 9×13-inch baking dish. Bake 20–25 minutes, until the top is golden and crisp. For moister stuffing, cover with foil for the first 15 minutes.
6. Serve hot and enjoy your Quick 30-Minute Homemade Stuffing!
Notes
For richer flavor, sauté some mushrooms or add chopped fresh parsley.
No day-old bread? Lightly toast fresh cubes to dry them out.
Make ahead: cover and reheat at 350°F (175°C) until warmed through.
Adjust broth to your preferred texture—less for drier, more for moister.
Versatile add-ins: favorite herbs or cooked sausage for extra protein.
