  • 1 lb pre-made pizza dough
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • On a lightly floured surface, unroll the pizza dough and cut it into roughly 1-inch wide strips.
  • Stretch each strip slightly, tie it into a loose knot, and arrange the knots on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between them.
  • Melt the unsalted butter in a small microwave-safe bowl, then add the minced garlic and stir well.
  • Generously brush the garlic butter mixture over the tops and sides of each dough knot, then sprinkle evenly with grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the knots are golden brown and puffed up.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for a minute or two before serving; enjoy them warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of dried herbs like oregano or parsley to the garlic butter mixture. These garlic knots are best served immediately after baking.
