  • 2 medium apples, cored and chopped
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Open the cinnamon roll cans and separate the rolls; cut each into quarters.
  • In a large bowl, combine the chopped cinnamon roll pieces, chopped apples, and ground cinnamon, tossing gently to coat.

Baking

  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and drizzle evenly with caramel sauce.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cinnamon rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
  • While warm, drizzle the reserved icing from the cinnamon rolls over the bake.

Serving

  • For an extra touch, sprinkle with chopped nuts if desired, and serve warm with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

You can use any type of apple you prefer, such as Granny Smith for a tart contrast or Fuji for a sweeter flavor. This bake is best served warm and can be stored covered at room temperature for up to 2 days, or refrigerated for up to 4 days.
