Instructions

Cooking the Chicken

  • Heat olive oil and optional butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat, then add chicken and season generously with salt, pepper, paprika, and oregano.

Add Garlic & Broth

  • Cook chicken for 5-7 minutes until nearly done, then add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Pour in chicken broth or water, scrape up browned bits, and simmer for a minute until the liquid thickens slightly, then remove from heat.

Assemble Wraps

  • Lay a tortilla flat, spoon garlicky chicken mixture down the center, and sprinkle generously with shredded cheese.
  • Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then tightly roll it up from the bottom; repeat for remaining chicken and tortillas.

Melt the Cheese

  • To melt the cheese, either return the skillet to medium heat and cook wraps seam-side down for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and gooey.
  • Alternatively, place wraps on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5-8 minutes until cheese is melted and tortillas are lightly crisped.

Serve

  • Slice wraps in half if desired and serve hot with your favorite toppings.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider marinating the chicken for 30 minutes before cooking. Adjust the amount of paprika to your preferred spice level. If using store-bought rotisserie chicken, you can skip the first cooking steps and just heat it with the garlic and broth before assembling the wraps.
