Instructions
Cookie Preparation
- Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl; set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes.
Cinnamon Swirl and Baking
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, granulated sugar, and cinnamon for the swirl.
- Roll out the chilled cookie dough into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface. Spread the cinnamon mixture evenly over the dough, then gently roll the dough into a log.
- Slice the log into 1/2-inch thick rounds and place them on the prepared baking sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Glaze and Serve
- While cookies cool, prepare the glaze by beating softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
