Instructions

  • Begin by peeling, deveining, and patting the shrimp dry, then measure all spices and finely mince the garlic.
  • In a large skillet, melt unsalted butter over medium heat, add minced garlic, and cook for 30-60 seconds until fragrant without burning.
  • Add prepared shrimp to the skillet, generously season with Cajun spices, salt, pepper, and optional cayenne, then cook for 2-4 minutes until pink and opaque.
  • Stir in fresh or frozen corn kernels and continue cooking for 2-3 minutes until heated through and slightly tender-crisp.
  • Remove the skillet from heat, then stir in fresh lemon juice and chopped fresh parsley.
  • Taste the dish and adjust salt, pepper, or Cajun seasoning as needed to suit your preference.
  • Serve immediately, optionally over rice or with crusty bread.

Notes

To prevent rubbery shrimp, ensure not to overcook them, as they cook very quickly. Always taste and adjust seasonings to your preference before serving.
