  • If using canned corn, drain it thoroughly; if using frozen corn, thaw it completely under warm water or in a microwave.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine the drained corn, butter, softened cream cheese cubes, shredded cheddar cheese, and milk.
  • Place the saucepan over medium-low heat and stir constantly for 5-7 minutes until the butter and cheeses melt into a smooth, creamy sauce.
  • Once melted and combined, season with salt and pepper to taste and stir once more.
  • Remove from heat and serve immediately, garnishing with fresh chives or parsley if desired.

Notes

Ensure consistent stirring to prevent the cheese from sticking or clumping, especially with the cream cheese. For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper with the salt and pepper.
