  • 12 oz White Chocolate Chips approx. 2 cups
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened

  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 3 oz Cherry Gelatin Mix or similar powdered cherry flavoring

Instructions

Preparation

  • Measure 9 cups of Chex cereal into a large, sturdy bowl and set aside.

Melt Cheesecake Base

  • Combine white chocolate chips, softened cream cheese, and butter in a microwave-safe bowl.
  • Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth and melted.

Add Flavor

  • Stir vanilla extract into the melted white chocolate mixture until thoroughly combined.

Coat Cereal

  • Pour the melted cheesecake mixture over the Chex cereal and gently fold until evenly coated.

Prepare Cherry Coating

  • In a separate large Ziploc bag, combine powdered sugar and cherry gelatin mix; shake well to mix.

Combine and Coat

  • Add the coated Chex cereal to the bag with the sugar mix, seal, and shake vigorously until completely coated.

Chill and Serve

  • Spread the puppy chow onto a parchment-lined baking sheet to cool completely, or refrigerate for 15-20 minutes to set.
  • Once cool, break up any clumps and serve immediately or store for later.

Notes

For best results, ensure the cream cheese is truly softened to avoid lumps in your chocolate mixture. You can experiment with other flavored gelatin mixes for different puppy chow variations, such as strawberry or raspberry.
