  • 2 cups pecan halves or large pieces
  • 12 oz high-quality chocolate chips or chopped baking chocolate dark, milk, or white

  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt, flaky

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C), spread pecans on a baking sheet, and bake for 5-8 minutes until fragrant and lightly browned. Let them cool slightly.
  • Melt your chosen chocolate in a double boiler or microwave until smooth, stirring carefully to avoid overheating.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, spread the toasted pecans evenly, and pour the melted chocolate over them, spreading to your desired thickness.
  • Sprinkle sea salt evenly over the melted chocolate immediately if desired.
  • Transfer the baking sheet to the refrigerator for 30-60 minutes, allowing the chocolate to become completely firm.
  • Once solid, lift the parchment, break the bark into irregular pieces, and store in an airtight container.

Notes

Store at room temperature for up to two weeks, or in the refrigerator for longer freshness.
