  • 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened

Instructions

Instructions

  • Ensure cream cheese and butter are at room temperature for a smooth, lump-free frosting; microwave briefly if needed.
  • Using an electric mixer, beat the softened cream cheese and butter together until smooth and creamy for 2-3 minutes, scraping the bowl as needed.
  • Gradually add the sifted powdered sugar on low speed, mixing until just combined after each addition to prevent a mess.
  • Increase mixer speed to medium-high and beat for 2-3 minutes to incorporate air, making the frosting light and fluffy.
  • Reduce speed to low and mix in the vanilla extract until just combined.
  • To adjust consistency, add milk or cream one tablespoon at a time, mixing until desired texture is reached.
  • Give the frosting a final quick beat on medium speed for about 30 seconds to ensure it is perfectly blended and smooth.
  • The frosting is now ready to spread generously over cooled cinnamon rolls.

Notes

For best results, make sure all ingredients are at room temperature. Sifting the powdered sugar is crucial for a smooth frosting free of lumps.
