  • 6-8 small flour tortillas or pita breads
  • 1-2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 0.5 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried oregano or Italian seasoning
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinch red pepper flakes optional
  • mini pepperoni or finely diced ham optional

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Lay tortillas or pita breads flat and lightly brush one side of each with olive oil; if using pita, you may split them open for thinner chips.
  • Flip the tortillas/pitas so the oiled side is down, then spread a thin, even layer of pizza sauce over the unoiled side, leaving a small border.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese, dried oregano, garlic powder, or red pepper flakes over the sauce; add mini pepperoni or finely diced ham now if desired.
  • Slice each sauced tortilla or pita into 6-8 wedges using a pizza cutter or sharp knife.

Baking

  • Carefully transfer the sliced chips to your prepared baking sheet in a single layer without overcrowding, cooking in batches if necessary.
  • Bake for 8-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and the edges are golden brown and crispy, watching them closely.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then serve warm.

These chips are best served immediately. You can customize the toppings with your favorite pizza ingredients!
