Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper (optional)
  • Small bowl

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef (or ground turkey)
  • 1 small onion finely diced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 8 oz shredded cheddar cheese (or a cheddar blend)

Dough

  • 2 cans (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough (e.g., Pillsbury Grands!)

Garlic Parmesan Topping

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped (optional)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat, then drain excess fat.
  • Add diced onion to the beef and cook until soft; stir in Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, then cook for another minute. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
  • Once cooled, mix shredded cheddar cheese into the beef mixture.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C), grease a baking sheet, and separate biscuit dough, flattening if needed.

Assembly and Baking

  • Place 1-2 tablespoons of the beef and cheese mixture in the center of each biscuit, then bring the edges together and pinch tightly to seal.
  • Arrange the sealed bombs seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between them.
  • Melt butter in a small bowl, then stir in minced garlic and grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Brush the tops of the bombs generously with the garlic-Parmesan butter mixture. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Garnish with fresh chopped parsley if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, ensure the beef mixture has cooled sufficiently before adding cheese to prevent it from melting too quickly. If your biscuits are very large, flattening them slightly can help create a better seal for the bombs.
