  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
  • ½ teaspoon finely grated lemon zest
  • A pinch freshly ground black pepper

Preparation

  • Ensure your goat cheese is at room temperature to facilitate mixing and forming.
  • In a small bowl, combine goat cheese with parsley, lemon zest, and black pepper until just mixed.
  • Roll the herbed mixture into 4-6 small, tablespoon-sized balls.
  • Arrange the goat cheese balls on a serving platter.
  • Chill them in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  • Remove from the refrigerator 10-15 minutes before serving with crackers, crostini, or cucumber.

Notes

For an extra touch, roll the finished goat cheese balls in additional fresh herbs like dill or chives, or finely chopped nuts before chilling.
