  • 2 (6-ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil, lightly greasing the foil if used.

Seasoning

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried dill, salt, and black pepper.
  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel, then place them on the prepared baking sheet and spoon the seasoning mixture evenly over each fillet.

Baking & Serving

  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  • Carefully transfer to plates, garnish with fresh lemon wedges and dill if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

The cooking time for salmon can vary based on thickness; a general guideline is 10 minutes per inch of thickness at 400°F.
