Instructions

Instructions

  • Unwrap cakes and crumble them in a large bowl, ensuring no large chunks remain.
  • Add softened cream cheese to the crumbled cakes and mix until well combined into a sticky, firm dough.
  • Scoop and roll the mixture into 1-inch to 1.5-inch balls, then place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Chill truffles in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or freezer for 15-20 minutes until firm.
  • Melt chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl (30-second intervals) or a double boiler until smooth.
  • Dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate using a fork, tapping off excess.
  • Immediately place dipped truffles on parchment paper and add holiday sprinkles before the chocolate sets.
  • Refrigerate finished truffles for another 15-30 minutes to allow the chocolate coating to fully set.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is softened for easier mixing. For best results, work in small batches when dipping to keep truffles cold and chocolate warm. Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
