Instructions

Instructions

  • Blanch fresh green beans in boiling salted water for 3-5 minutes, then plunge into an ice bath and drain, or cook frozen green beans per package instructions until tender-crisp. Chop the green beans into 1/2-inch pieces.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 24-cup mini muffin tin (or two 12-cup tins) with cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper until smooth.
  • Fold in the chopped green beans, 3/4 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, and half of the crispy fried onions until well combined.
  • Spoon the mixture evenly into the prepared mini muffin cups, filling each almost to the top.
  • Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and the remaining half of the crispy fried onions over each bite.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are bubbling, the tops are golden brown, and the bites are heated through.
  • Let the bites cool in the muffin tins for 5-10 minutes before carefully removing them.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of dried thyme or a dash of hot sauce to the creamy base. Ensure green beans are well-drained to prevent soggy bites.
