  • 2-3 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1 oz packet Ranch dressing mix dry seasoning
  • 1 oz packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter 1 stick
  • 1/4 cup pepperoncini peppers
  • 1/4 cup pepperoncini juice brine

  • Place chicken breasts or thighs in the bottom of your slow cooker.
  • Evenly sprinkle both packets of Ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix over the chicken.
  • Place the stick of butter on top of the seasoned chicken.
  • Scatter pepperoncini peppers around the chicken and pour in the pepperoncini juice.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours, or on HIGH for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is very tender and easily shreddable.
  • Remove or shred the cooked chicken directly in the pot with two forks. Stir the shredded chicken back into the flavorful gravy, then serve hot and enjoy.

Notes

This dish is fantastic served over rice, mashed potatoes, or with a simple side salad. For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or more pepperoncini juice.
