  • 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese grated

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and grated cheddar cheese until well combined and fluffy.

Forming the Balls

  • Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter and cheese, mixing until a soft, uniform dough forms.
  • Flatten a small piece of dough, place a drained olive in the center, and mold the dough around it to form a smooth ball.

Baking

  • Arrange the balls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving an inch between each, and bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
  • Let cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring to a platter, best enjoyed warm.
