  • 1 package Oreo cookies (14.3 oz.)
  • 1 package cream cheese (8 oz.), softened
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter softened (optional)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Pulse 12-15 Oreo cookies in a food processor until fine crumbs form, then set aside in a shallow bowl for coating.
  • Process the remaining Oreos (about 25-28 cookies) in the food processor until they also form fine crumbs.
  • Combine the 25-28 crushed Oreo crumbs, softened cream cheese, and softened butter (if using) in a large mixing bowl and beat with an electric mixer until a thick, uniform dough forms.

Rolling and Chilling

  • Scoop 1-tablespoon portions of the mixture and roll them into 1-inch diameter balls.
  • Coat each ball by rolling it in the reserved Oreo crumbs, gently pressing to ensure adherence.
  • Place coated balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet or plate and refrigerate for at least 1 hour until firm.
  • Serve the firm Oreo cream cheese balls and enjoy.

Notes

For an extra touch, consider dipping the chilled balls in melted chocolate and decorating with sprinkles.
