Ingredients
  

Nachos

  • 1 large bag (13-16 oz) Sturdy tortilla chips
  • 2 cups Shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup (seasoned) Cooked ground beef or shredded chicken (optional)
  • 0.5 cup Pickled jalapeños, sliced

Toppings

  • 0.5 cup Sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 0.25 cup Fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 0.25 cup Diced red onion
  • 0.5 cup Salsa or pico de gallo
  • 0.5 cup Avocado, diced or mashed into guacamole

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Spread half of the tortilla chips in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  • Evenly sprinkle half of the Monterey Jack and cheddar cheese over the chips, adding half of any meat if using.
  • Repeat layers with the remaining chips, cheese, and meat.
  • Distribute the pickled jalapeños over the top cheese layer.

Baking & Serving

  • Bake for 8-12 minutes until bubbly and golden, then remove from the oven.
  • Immediately add your desired fresh toppings like sour cream, cilantro, red onion, salsa, and avocado.
  • Serve and enjoy your nachos right away.

Notes

For extra crispiness, ensure the chips are in a single layer and not overcrowded. Adjust baking time based on oven and desired crispness.
