Main Ingredients

  • 6 ounces salmon fillets with or without skin
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 fresh lemon for juice and optional slices
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder or 1 clove fresh minced garlic
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika smoked or sweet
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried dill or fresh dill
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.125 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Drizzle olive oil and squeeze lemon juice over each fillet.
  • Season the salmon with garlic powder, paprika, dried dill, salt, and pepper, gently rubbing them in. Optionally, place a thin lemon slice on top of each fillet.

Baking & Serving

  • Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  • Remove from the oven and serve hot immediately with your favorite side dishes.

Notes

For best results, use fresh salmon. Adjust baking time based on the thickness of your salmon fillets; thinner fillets will cook faster. Do not overcook to ensure moist and flaky salmon.
