  • 1.5 lbs Salmon Fillets skin-on or off, cut into 4-ounce portions
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Salt Kosher or sea salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black Pepper freshly ground
  • 0.5 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 Lemon cut into wedges, for serving

  • Preheat your gas or charcoal grill to medium-high heat (400-450°F / 200-230°C) and clean the grates to prevent sticking.
  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels, then drizzle with olive oil and season both sides generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Place the seasoned salmon fillets on the preheated, clean grill grates, skin-side down first if using skin-on fillets.
  • Grill the first side for 4-6 minutes, or until the salmon easily releases from the grill.
  • Carefully flip the salmon with a wide spatula and grill for another 3-5 minutes, or until cooked through and flaky.
  • Transfer the grilled salmon to a plate, cover loosely with foil, and let rest for a few minutes before serving with fresh lemon wedges.

Notes

For best results, do not overcrowd the grill and ensure the grill grates are thoroughly cleaned before cooking to prevent sticking.
