Equipment

  • Paper towels
  • Small bowl
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Oven
  • Non-stick or cast-iron skillet
  • Grill

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs Salmon Fillets (skin on or off), cut into 4-6 oz portions
  • 2 medium Lemons (one for slicing, one for juicing)
  • Small bunch fresh Parsley finely chopped
  • Small bunch fresh Dill finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced (optional)
  • Salt to taste (preferably flaky sea salt)
  • Black Pepper to taste

Instructions

Preparation

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel and season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • In a small bowl, combine chopped parsley, dill, minced garlic (if using), lemon juice, and olive oil; stir well.
  • Place salmon on a baking sheet or in a shallow dish, then spoon the herb-lemon mixture evenly over each fillet, optionally adding a lemon slice on top if baking.

Cooking Methods

  • For baking, preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake for 12-15 minutes until the salmon flakes easily.
  • For pan-searing, heat a skillet with olive oil over medium-high heat, cook skin-side down for 4-5 minutes, then flip and cook for another 3-5 minutes.
  • For grilling, preheat grill to medium-high, lightly oil grates, and grill skin-side down for 4-6 minutes per side.
  • Transfer cooked salmon to plates and garnish with fresh lemon wedges and herbs if desired.

Notes

Ensure not to overcook the salmon to keep it moist and tender. Adjust cooking times based on the thickness of your fillets and your desired level of doneness.
