  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 small lemon, juiced plus wedges for serving
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • Salt to taste

  • Pat the peeled and deveined shrimp dry with paper towels and season them lightly with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until melted and slightly foaming.
  • Add minced garlic and optionally red pepper flakes to the hot pan, cooking for 30-60 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add the seasoned shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until opaque and pink.
  • Remove the skillet from heat, squeeze in lemon juice, and stir in chopped parsley; toss to coat and adjust seasoning, then serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, do not overcrowd the pan when cooking shrimp to ensure even cooking and browning. Serve this garlic shrimp over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread to soak up the delicious sauce.
