  • 1 can refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon orange zest optional
  • 1/4 cup pecans, chopped optional

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, beat softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Gently stir in the whole berry cranberry sauce, orange zest (if using), and chopped pecans (if using).

Assembly and Baking

  • Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
  • Roll each crescent from the wide end to the point, then arrange them on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

These bites are best served warm, but can also be enjoyed at room temperature. For an extra touch, drizzle with a simple glaze made from powdered sugar and a splash of milk.
