Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Medium bowl
  • Paper towels

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 16 oz store-bought potato gnocchi (shelf-stable or refrigerated)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • red pepper flakes Pinch, for a spicy kick (Optional)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes, if preheating is required.
  • Gently pat the gnocchi dry with a paper towel if they feel damp after opening the package.

Cooking

  • In a medium bowl, toss the gnocchi with olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes until evenly coated.
  • Arrange the seasoned gnocchi in a single layer in the air fryer basket; cook in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
  • Air fry for 12-18 minutes, shaking the basket every 5-7 minutes until the gnocchi are golden brown and crispy.
  • During the last 2-3 minutes, sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the gnocchi and shake gently to distribute and allow it to melt and crisp.

Serving

  • Remove the crispy, cheesy gnocchi from the air fryer and serve immediately while hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can garnish the gnocchi with fresh parsley or a squeeze of lemon juice after cooking. Ensure the gnocchi are in a single layer for optimal crispiness; overcrowding will steam them instead of frying.
