  • 1.5-2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 medium onion quartered
  • 2 cloves garlic smashed
  • 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Place quartered onion and smashed garlic cloves at the bottom of the slow cooker.

Cooking

  • Arrange chicken breasts over the onion and garlic.
  • Pour in chicken broth and sprinkle Italian seasoning, sea salt, and black pepper over the chicken.
  • Cover and cook chicken until tender and easily shreddable.

Shredding

  • Remove chicken, shred with two forks, and return to slow cooker juices.
