Ingredients
  

For the Croissant Bake

  • 6 large Croissants
  • 1 cup Chocolate chips

Custard

  • 3 large Eggs
  • 0.5 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1.5 cups Milk
  • 0.5 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • Salt pinch

Preparation

  • Tear croissants into pieces and scatter half into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, then sprinkle with half of the chocolate chips. Repeat with remaining croissants and chocolate chips.

Custard

  • In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, granulated sugar, milk, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until well combined.

Bake

  • Pour the custard mixture evenly over the croissants and chocolate chips in the baking dish. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes to allow the croissants to soak up the custard. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the custard is set and the top is golden brown and puffed. Serve warm, optionally dusted with powdered sugar or with fresh berries.

Notes

For an extra touch, dust with powdered sugar or serve with fresh berries like raspberries or strawberries. Allow the bake to set for a few minutes after removing it from the oven for easier serving.
