Ingredients

Main

  • 1 baked pecan pie, cooled
  • 1 cup heavy cream, very cold
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water

  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

Spiced Whipped Cream

  • Combine cold heavy cream, powdered sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a chilled bowl.
  • Beat on medium-high speed until soft peaks form, being careful not to overbeat.

Salted Caramel Sauce

  • Combine granulated sugar and water in a medium saucepan, stirring gently.
  • Heat over medium heat without stirring until the syrup turns a deep amber color.
  • Remove from heat and whisk in warm heavy cream carefully; add butter and sea salt, stirring until combined.
  • Allow the caramel to cool slightly and thicken.

Serve

  • Cut the cooled pecan pie into slices.
  • Dollop with Spiced Whipped Cream and drizzle with warm Salted Caramel Sauce.
  • Serve immediately, perhaps with coffee.

Notes

For best results, make sure your heavy cream and bowl are very cold before making the whipped cream. Adjust salt in caramel to your preference.
