Instructions

Building the Snowman

  • Choose a large platter and visualize three overlapping circles for the snowman's body.
  • Arrange larger cheese slices (cheddar, muenster) to form the base of the three circular body sections.
  • Layer folded cured meats (salami, prosciutto, pepperoni) over the cheese, allowing some cheese to show through.
  • Place assorted crackers around the snowman sections to define the shape; use breadsticks for arms.
  • Fill remaining spaces with colorful fruits (grapes, blueberries, cranberries, orange segments, kiwi slices) and vegetables (baby carrots, cucumber slices, cherry tomatoes, olives).

Decorating the Snowman

  • Create the snowman's face using small olives or peppercorns for eyes and a smile, and a baby carrot for the nose.
  • Add a festive scarf with a thin strip of red or green bell pepper where the head and middle body meet.
  • Place small mozzarella balls down the snowman's front for buttons and arrange small bowls of dips or spreads nearby.
  • Garnish with a sprinkle of fresh herbs like rosemary for a wintery touch.

Notes

Get creative with your arrangement and use a variety of colors and textures for a visually appealing board. You can also add other festive elements like small cookie cutters to shape some of the cheeses or fruits.
