Ingredients
  

For the Christmas Shrimp Wreath

  • 1.5 lbs Cooked shrimp large or extra-large, peeled and deveined, tails on
  • Fresh dill sprigs for garnish
  • 1 cup Cherry tomatoes red and/or yellow
  • 1-2 lemons Lemon slices or wedges
  • 1/4 cup Pomegranate arils
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped for sprinkling

For the Creamy Dill Dipping Sauce

  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise good quality
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp Fresh dill, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder or finely minced fresh garlic
  • 1/4 tsp Salt or to taste
  • 1/8 tsp Black pepper or to taste
  • Cayenne pepper optional, a pinch

Instructions
 

Prepare the Dipping Sauce

  • In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream or Greek yogurt, finely chopped fresh dill, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper for the dipping sauce.
  • Stir until smooth; taste and adjust seasonings, adding cayenne pepper if desired.
  • Cover and refrigerate the sauce for at least 30 minutes to meld flavors, or prepare up to a day in advance.

Assemble the Shrimp Wreath

  • On a large, round platter, arrange cooked shrimp in one or two concentric circles, tails facing outwards and slightly overlapping, to form a wreath shape.
  • Garnish the wreath by tucking fresh dill sprigs among the shrimp and scattering cherry tomatoes and pomegranate arils for color.
  • Place lemon wedges strategically around the platter for visual appeal and for guests to squeeze over the shrimp.
  • Lightly sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the entire wreath for added color and freshness.
  • Place the chilled Creamy Dill Dipping Sauce bowl in the center of the shrimp wreath.
