Ingredients
  

Meatballs

  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 0.5 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 2 tbsp fresh mint, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper

Yogurt Dip

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 0.5 cup cucumber, grated
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 0.25 tsp salt

Instructions
 

Meatball Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine ground lamb, breadcrumbs, egg, feta cheese, mint, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated, then form into 1-inch meatballs.
  • Place meatballs on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through and lightly browned.

Yogurt Dip Preparation

  • While meatballs are baking, prepare the yogurt dip.
  • In a medium bowl, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, fresh dill, lemon juice, and salt.
  • Stir well and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Serving

  • Serve the warm meatballs with the chilled yogurt dip on the side.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the meatball mixture. The yogurt dip can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
