Equipment

  • microwave-safe bowl
  • parchment paper
  • baking sheet
  • rolling pin
  • knife

Ingredients

Witch Finger Pretzels

  • 1 package pretzel rods
  • 10 oz. white chocolate melting wafers
  • few drops green food coloring
  • 1/2 cup almond slivers

Mummy Calzones

  • 1 can refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices
  • 4 olives sliced, for eyes

Instructions

Witch Finger Pretzels Instructions

  • Melt the white chocolate wafers in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  • Add a few drops of green food coloring to the melted chocolate and stir well to achieve a spooky green color.
  • Dip each pretzel rod into the green chocolate, covering about two-thirds of the pretzel, and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Before the chocolate sets, gently press an almond sliver onto the end of each pretzel to create a "fingernail."
  • Let the pretzels chill in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes, or until the chocolate is fully set.

Mummy Calzones Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet.
  • Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface and cut it into rectangular shapes, about 4x6 inches.
  • Spread a tablespoon of marinara sauce on one half of each dough rectangle, leaving a border.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella cheese and a few pepperoni slices over the sauce.
  • Fold the other half of the dough over the filling and crimp the edges with a fork to seal, forming a calzone.
  • Using a knife, cut thin strips into the top of each calzone, without cutting all the way through, to resemble mummy wrappings.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Once baked, place two sliced olives on each calzone to create "eyes" for your mummies.

Notes

For extra spooky witch fingers, use red gel food coloring to draw "blood" at the base of the almond slivers. Feel free to customize the mummy calzone filling with other ingredients like cooked sausage or vegetables.
