  • Mixing Bowl
  • Serving Platter
  • Toothpicks

Ingredients

General Ingredients

  • 2 sheets Puff Pastry
  • 8 units Hot Dogs or sausages
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese
  • 10 oz Spinach frozen, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 14 oz Artichoke Hearts canned, drained and chopped
  • 0.5 cup Mayonnaise
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan Cheese grated
  • 1 can Black Olives sliced

For Garnish

  • Ketchup for blood effect
  • Mustard for mummy eyes

Instructions

Mummy Dogs

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Unroll puff pastry and cut into thin strips.
  • Wrap each hot dog with pastry strips to resemble a mummy, leaving a space for the face.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown. Use mustard to create eyes.

Spider Web Dip

  • In a bowl, combine cream cheese, spinach, artichoke hearts, mayonnaise, and Parmesan cheese.
  • Spread the mixture onto a serving platter. Arrange sliced black olives in concentric circles.
  • Use a toothpick to drag lines from the center outwards, creating a spiderweb effect.

Bloody Finger Hot Dogs

  • Boil or grill hot dogs. Cut them in half lengthwise, but not all the way through, to resemble a finger joint.
  • Make a shallow cut at one end for the nail bed. Optionally, use a small piece of onion for a fingernail.
  • Arrange on a platter and drizzle with ketchup to create a "bloody" effect.

Notes

These appetizers are best served warm. You can prepare some components in advance to save time. Feel free to get creative with your garnishes to enhance the spooky theme!
