Hearty Berry Blast Overnight Oats

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup mixed berries fresh or frozen

Optional Topping

  • 1 tablespoon chopped almonds optional, for topping

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Combine rolled oats, almond milk, chia seeds, maple syrup, and vanilla extract in a jar or airtight container.
  • Stir thoroughly to ensure all ingredients are well mixed and there are no chia seed clumps.
  • Add the mixed berries to the jar and gently stir them into the oat mixture.
  • Cover the jar and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, until the mixture has thickened.

Serving

  • In the morning, give the oats a quick stir, and add a small splash of almond milk if the consistency is too thick.
  • Top with chopped almonds, if desired, and enjoy your ready-to-eat breakfast.

Notes

For variation, try adding different fruits or a pinch of cinnamon. You can also warm the oats slightly in the microwave before serving if you prefer a warm breakfast.
