Cooking Instructions
Combine oats, water or milk, and salt in a small saucepan.
Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally.
Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the liquid is mostly absorbed and the oats are creamy.
Stir in honey or brown sugar if desired.
Remove from heat and transfer the porridge to a bowl.
Swirl in the fruit jam or mashed fresh fruit before serving.
Notes
For a creamier porridge, use milk instead of water. Adjust the amount of sweetener and fruit to your taste.
