Equipment

  • parchment paper
  • medium-sized heavy-bottomed saucepan
  • rubber spatula or whisk
  • butter knife or skewer
  • cutting board

Ingredients

Fudge Base

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 sweetened condensed milk (14-ounce) can
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • Pinch salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Marshmallow Swirl

  • 1 marshmallow creme (7-ounce) jar

Instructions

Preparation

  • Lightly grease an 8x8 inch baking pan and line it with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on two sides for easy removal.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, butter, and salt over low heat.

Cooking

  • Stir continuously for 5-7 minutes until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth and shiny.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Pour the chocolate mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  • Dollop spoonfuls of marshmallow creme evenly over the warm fudge.
  • Gently swirl the marshmallow creme into the fudge with a knife to create patterns; avoid over-swirling.

Finishing

  • Refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours until the fudge is completely firm.
  • Lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper, place on a cutting board, and cut into 1-inch squares.

Notes

Make sure to stir constantly when melting the chocolate to prevent scorching. For a cleaner swirl, avoid over-mixing the marshmallow creme into the fudge. You can use any type of chocolate chips you prefer, such as milk chocolate or dark chocolate, to customize the flavor of your fudge.
