  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 2 Garlic minced
  • 1 Bell Pepper red or yellow, chopped
  • 1 can Diced Tomatoes 14.5 oz, undrained
  • 2 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 1/2 cup Chicken or Vegetable Broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tsp Dried Italian Seasoning
  • Salt and Black Pepper to taste
  • Fresh Parsley chopped (for garnish, optional)

Cooking Steps

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground turkey and cook until browned, then drain any excess fat.
  • Add chopped onion and bell pepper to the skillet with the turkey and cook for 5-7 minutes. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Stir in tomato paste and cook for 1-2 minutes. Pour in diced tomatoes, broth, Worcestershire sauce, and Italian seasoning, then stir to combine.
  • Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes to meld flavors.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning as needed, then garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve hot.

Notes

This dish pairs well with pasta, rice, or a side of crusty bread. For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the Italian seasoning.
