  • paper towels
  • bowl

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound raw shrimp peeled and deveined, large or jumbo preferred
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons high-quality lemon pepper seasoning ensure no added sugars, MSG, or anti-caking agents

Instructions

Preparation

  • Thaw frozen shrimp completely under cold running water or overnight in the refrigerator.
  • Rinse shrimp briefly and pat them very dry with paper towels.
  • Place dried shrimp in a bowl and sprinkle generously with lemon pepper seasoning; toss to coat evenly.

Cooking

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with a tiny splash of avocado oil or cooking spray.
  • Once the pan is hot, add the seasoned shrimp in a single layer, cooking in batches if necessary.
  • Cook for 1-2 minutes per side until opaque pink and curled into a loose "C" shape.
  • Remove cooked shrimp immediately from the pan and serve hot.

Notes

For best results, do not overcrowd the pan, as this can steam the shrimp instead of searing them. Adjust lemon pepper seasoning to your taste. Serve with a squeeze of fresh lemon if desired.
