  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
  • pinch salt
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 tablespoon milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a separate medium bowl, combine melted butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar, then stir in milk and vanilla extract.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined, then fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Drop the cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Let the cookie cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, use good quality chocolate chips. You can also add a pinch of cinnamon for extra flavor. The cookie will be soft when it comes out of the oven, but will firm up as it cools.
