  • 2 (6 oz) salmon fillets skin on or off
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined tail on or off, your preference
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning adjust to your spice preference
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Garlic Cream Sauce

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4-6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes for extra heat

Instructions
 

Prep the Seafood

  • Pat the salmon and shrimp dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, combine Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper, then sprinkle the mixture generously over the seafood to coat.

Cook the Seafood

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook salmon for 4-5 minutes per side until done, then remove. Add shrimp to the same pan and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink, then remove and set aside with the salmon.

Make the Garlic Cream Sauce

  • Reduce heat to medium, add butter and minced garlic to the skillet, and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and broth, bringing to a simmer, then stir in Parmesan and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens to your desired consistency.

Combine and Serve

  • Return the cooked salmon and shrimp to the skillet with the garlic cream sauce. Gently spoon the sauce over the seafood to coat, then garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving immediately.

Notes

Adjust the Cajun seasoning and red pepper flakes to control the spice level of the dish. Serve this delicious seafood alongside pasta, rice, or a simple green salad for a complete meal.
