Instructions

Instructions

  • Shred cooked chicken, a rotisserie chicken is recommended for ease.
  • Soften cream cheese at room temperature for a smooth dip.
  • In a slow cooker, combine softened cream cheese, buffalo sauce, and ranch dressing, mixing until smooth.
  • Stir in shredded chicken, garlic powder, onion powder, and optional celery and cayenne pepper.
  • Sprinkle Monterey Jack cheese evenly over the chicken mixture; do not stir it in.
  • Cook in the slow cooker on low for 2-3 hours or high for 1-1.5 hours, until bubbly and heated through.
  • After cooking, stir vigorously until the dip is uniformly creamy and well incorporated.
  • Serve warm with dippers, garnishing with optional blue cheese and green onions.

Notes

For best results, ensure cream cheese is fully softened. A rotisserie chicken saves time and effort. This dip is excellent with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or crackers. Adjust cayenne pepper to your preferred spice level.
